Khushi gazes him with a poker face, adjusting her mobile between her shoulder and head. The glass partition between the rooms parted them pairing with their anger.

"Speak something Khushi." Arnav spoke sensing a dead silence from the other end.

He knows he has to apologise to her but the ASR image he got & his prominent introvert nature made him hesitant. Earlier he never wondered why it's easy to yell at anyone who comes on his way but is difficult to apologise or speak some sweet kind words to any person be it his sister or Nani. But now, he's going to share his entire life with a woman who bagged the exclusive privilege to see him, to care for him beyond his hard monotonous passive face. So it's his duty to make the process a little easier to keep their lives running intact without lagging behind because of his anger issues. He has to show her, he's also not doing great after yelling at her. He's also feeling absurd by her behaviour of bringing Shyam back like how she feels when he yells at her. He's also affected when she keeps mum. His heart also feels distressed whenever she is ignorant. But he has to admit he's one thick nutshell to crack. His brain itself is not obeying his heart. His heart wants to obtain pardon from her putting an end to their squabble. But his brain is adamant on not sending the five letter word to his mouth. And the obstinate infamous ASR brain found the usually available way to convey what is in his heart, Eyelock.

Meanwhile, she has complete opposite thought on this entire issue. She thought she has attained the place where she wouldn't be questioned for her actions anymore. She thought he'll trust her without a second thought henceforth. She thought she crossed her testimonials. But looks like she's wrong. He's still not trusting her. He seems to stay amateur in their relationship even now. He's not seeing her as his family as she considers his as hers. His big fat ego and dominant blood still want satisfaction. Is she going to give him what he wants? Never ever henceforth. Not after all the struggles, they've crossed. She's not going to be stupid anymore bearing everything. He has to learn she isn't his doormat. She's his better half, she's is his soulmate with whom he's going to live his entire life. With the determination, she looked at him back in a challenging way. Though his eyes conveyed what he wants to say, she isn't going to fall for it. She knows how hard it is for him to frame the five letter word. So it'll be a perfect penance for him to never repeat today actions. To convey her determination, she met his eyes and locked it.

"So, you won't speak to me?" He asks swallowing a disappointed sigh.

She remains mum, showing him how sure and stubborn she is in her decision this time. Her eyes screamed either apologize or get lost. Arnav wets his dry lips feeling fish out of water. His heart is going haywire for this simple word. He opens his mouth to pronounce the five letter word but closes it back as sudden hesitation crept to his frame. He looks at her apologetically and pleads through his eyes. Least he could only do this at the moment.

However, Do I even need to mention how less span her silence contains?   There's nothing called silence in her dictionary whereas his dictionary has only one-word anger.

"Why are you calling me if you aren't going to speak anything?" She chides not able to keep her mouth shut. It runs in her blood to stay talkative as anger runs on his blood.

"To feel you." Suddenly his brain accessed and fetch the words.

Truly said that Love does wonder.

The ASR who felt it difficult to apologise just spoke sweet words while the Khushi who vowed to not melt to his silence now melted like butter on heat. When he speaks such intense words how can she stay angry at him for a long time? Yet, she kept mum tightly pressing her lips together.

"Don't you ask me why I called you in spite of being in the same house?" He whispers huskily slowly injecting love drug into her.

Khushi twists her lips and met his eyes carelessly portraying she's not interested in those matters yet inwardly she noticed the change in his voice & is eager to know what he's going to say.

"Leave it, I thought we could have some alone time without Aman disturbance." He clarifies extending their conversation.

Laughter erupts from her pit of the stomach as his declaration made the atmosphere less intense, "Really? Wah, what a logic!? Since Amanji calls when we…" She bit her tongue and stops abruptly realising what she's going to say.

"When we…" His lips stretched upwards forming a smirk as her cheeks are filled with smashing pink.

"W...e…"

"W...e…?" He stretches more than require igniting her anger.

"Not we, when YOU comes closer to me."

"Yeah, so?" He shrugs shamelessly.

"What so? It's such an absurd dumb idea to romance through the phone just to avoid Amanji calls during our time. You better educate yourself about the SILENT mode." It's her time to shrug carelessly.

He whistles lightly & throws a wink at her direction, "Absurdity is added to my name since the moment I engaged myself with a sanka devi and I'm sure there's more coming on my way when I tie myself fully with her."

"Shut up."

"That's my call Khushi."

"You know what, go and romance with Amanji. You're capable only of that." She ends the call angrily and throws the mobile on the sofa. Her breath took a hike and her teeth clenching each other.

"Sorry."

She jerks in her place hearing his voice from behind. Swiftly she turns around and stood up involuntarily. He cups her tender cheeks on his hard palm, pulling her closer to him.

"I shouldn't have spoken to you like that. You know me… I… just lose control when anger overpowers me."

"That's not an excuse."

"I know. I'm not going to ask you to excuse me and I’m not going to give false promises either. I may not admit openly but I know my flaws Khushi. It's hard to cope up with my anger issues as it keeps popping up even for a small reason. I can only promise you that my love for you is never going to decrease in this lifetime rather it's going to be manifold. Maybe a life with you can create a change in my routine. But… I assure you there will not be a moment where I Disrespect you."

She blinks her eyes and smiles lightly, "You don't need to self explain all this Arnavji. Your last sentence is enough. A girl can live without love for her entire life but she cannot live a single moment where she's not RESPECTED. Let's leave the past aside and build our future with Respect and Love Arnavji. That's what I need more than this luxury, grand weddings, gold, diamond or whatever.”

He nods brightly sharing a friendly comforting hug with her. She closes her lids and places her head on his chest, her exclusive place to reside. Finally, he learned the key of a successful relationship.

  3. Lovely take on the conflict track and much needed one. It's true that along with love, trust, communication & transparency , respect plays a big part in a successful marriage. How can one love their partner if they don't respect them?
